everyone here says it, general opinion. it’s been done, Cezanne’s motive, a testament to his perseverance and genius, to try is a potential affront to history, making a muck of the mountain is embarrassing, the mountain is elusive at times disappearing into the sky without a trace, but painting the mountain is an attempt to get a glimpse of something incomprehensible, like a quantum leap, the drawing is a part of my preparation to paint, at the very least i will have more appreciation of what has been done
